This past Sunday, the clouds parted, the incessant rain stopped and the sun came out (for the entire day)! It was just the weather that Farm Girl (Tamara Bolger) had wished for ... Sunday, June 9th, was the official Down-Home Launch Party for Farm Girl Mobile Food Co. and their much-loved food truck, Betty Lou (pictured above). If you aren't yet familiar with Farm Girl, her delicious food and growing success, take a look at the website here. (You can also follow Tamara on twitter for daily updates).
Farm Girl knows how to throw a great, afternoon party! There were smiling, laughing, friendly people everywhere we looked. Summer songs played in the background while guests mingled, kids + dogs romped and everyone was enjoying a scrumptious variety of Farm Girl's classic-comfort-foods with her gourmet twist (Yummy!). Donations were collected for Martha's Table, as the Bolger Family is admirably conscious of giving back to this community. The lovely Heidi Fielding, from Fielding Estate Winery, was there to support her dear friends and share some premium wine with the guests. We were thrilled to be invited to attend and share Purple Essentials Fresh & Natural products. We met so many fantastic people! Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table to say "HI" and learn more about our Pure and Simple creations. (*The winner of the Blissful Bathing Package is Lisa Harrison - Congratulations Lisa!)
Early in the Spring, I had the pleasure of meeting Tamara and we quickly became friends. Although our respective businesses cater to different markets, they share a similar outlook on using Fresh & Natural ingredients in our offerings. She is a caring, multi-talented woman, juggling it all! We wish her and her marvelous family continued success, as they grow their new business and add a fresh seasoning to Kingston :-)
